Guideline for Pharmaceutical Serialization System [The first edition]

KPIS (Korea Pharmaceutical Information Service) has published an English version of the drug transaction records in order to 1) enhance communication between domestic drug importers and foreign manufacturers, 2) to prevent potential errors in information exchange, and 3) to help other countries understand the pharmaceutical serialization system.

The drug serial number information reporting mechanism has been enforced since January 1, 2016. Grace periods are allowed until June 2016 for pharmaceutical companies, and until June 2017 for wholesalers. This grace period allows them to report the current month's transactions by the end of the following month.
