The seminar, which was held online in consideration of the COVID-19 situation, was prepared with the full support of the Embassy

of Denmark in Korea, which hopes to cooperate closely in the healthcare sectors of the two countries.

The seminar began with the opening of Mette Aaboe Hansen, Deputy Director General of DKMA, Mr. Henrik Nielsen, Deputy

Head of Misson  of Embassy of Denmark in Korea and Kim Sun-min, Executive Director of HIRA.

Subsequent explanations and discussions on detailed cooperation areas such as payment systems and health and medical data from

each country continued.

In particular, strengths and know-how such as analysis and utilization of vast amounts of health and medical data accumulated in

the review and evaluation center were shared and received great attention.

The two countries' health departments have continued to cooperate since signing MOUs in the health and medical sector in 2013,

while HIRA and DKMA signed MOUs in 2016 to join the cooperation.

In particular, in July, the government agreed to establish cooperative governance and decided to create a venue for continuous

exchanges.

Following this seminar, which was set up as the first venue for exchange, a seminar will be held in the fourth quarter to share in-

depth knowledge about big data analysis and the Risk Sharing Agreement (RSA) of HIRA.

Executive Director Kim Sun-min of HIRA emphasized in her opening speech that "It should be a sustainable cooperation, not just a

one-time event," and said, "We look forward to a step forward in cooperation in the health sector between Korea Denmark through

this opportunity.
