1+ : 약간의 근긴장도 증가, 잡힙현상과 가동범위 1/2범위에서 약간의 저항(Slight increase in muscle tone, manifested by a catch, followed by minimal resistance throughout the remainder(less than half) of the range of motion)
2 : 대부분의 관절범위에서 현저히 증가된 근 긴장도를 보이지만 이환부위가 쉽게 움직임(More marked increase in muscle tone through most of the range of motion, but the affected part is easily moved)
3:근 긴장도의 심각한 증가로 수동관절 운동이 힘듦(Considerable increase in muscle tone, passivemovement is difficult)
4:이환부위가 굴곡 혹은 신전상태로 강직됨(Affected part is rigid in flexion or extension)
