HIRA holds an international symposium about universal coverage
Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service(HIRA) hold a 2013 international symposium on Thursday September 12 in GS Amoris Hall in Yeoksam-Dong, Seoul.
It’s main topic is “maximizing value in universal coverage: theory, experience and lessons.” Professor Hans Maarse from Maastricht University, Netherlands will be giving keynote speech about “Political and economical point of view and experiences in Europe about essential coverage and value maximizing.” Professor Ashish Jha from Harvard, US will be giving a presentation about “Medical coverage based on values: theoretical view and experiences in the US.” There will be presentations about coverage expansion in Japan, Taiwan and Korea from Professor Hashimoto Hideki from Tokyo University, Japan, Professor Rachel Lu from Chang Gung University, Taiwan, and Professor Kim Yoon from HIRA, Korea.
The symposium is expected to be an opportunity for those who work and study in the health and medical industry to discuss universal coverage, along with experiences expanding the coverage from countries around the world.
